8 April is World Romani Day.

On this occasion we join with the European Roma Rights Center in urging all relevant parties and public authorities to create the social/political/legal climate wherein the rights and the culture of Roma are respected and celebrated at all times.

Light a candle in your window. Tell someone about the reality of the lives of Romani people worldwide.

What I am reflecting on this day is how forgotten Romani people are. The Brutal Genocide in WWII, you never hear about the fate of so many Roma. Always caught in the middle of someone's conflict. I guess the advantage of not having a country of our own is we never started a war. Yes I will light a candle today. Thanks for the reminder! Casimrie
